Comment Although incorporating 'Tramway' in the company title, and having purchased locomotives equipped for tramway running, the WCT&LR was actually a light railway; It did however have long stretches of line running alongside roads, reminiscent of many bone fide tramway systems.
It is presumed that staff were issued with standard Great Southern Railways buttons following the absorption of the Schull and Skibbereen in 1924.
