Comment There are numerous examples of the above pattern (large size) with 'West Riding' misspelled as 'West Ridinig'.
The Yorkshire (West Riding) Electric Tramways Co Ltd (YETCo) was a subsidiary of the Yorkshire Electric Tramways Construction Syndicate Ltd, the company which also built the Wakefield and District Light Railway (W&DLR). The YETCo therefore consisted of two unconnected systems, the W&DLR and a line linking Normanton, Pontefract and Castleton. It is unclear whether the above pattern of button was only issued to staff on this line, or whether it was also issued to staff on the W&DLR, which in fact had its own pattern of button.
