Comment Following the municipalisation of the Haslingden line, services were initially provided under contract by Accrington Corporation, but using steam trams (and trailers) purchased from the ACSTCo by Haslingden Corporation. However, following electrification, tram cars (and their staff) were provided by Accrington, but with Haslingden Corporation tramway inspectors. What marked buttons, if any, were worn by these inspectors is currently unknown.
